Swapping engines from 5.0 2000 explorer xlt, to a 2004 Eddie Bauer edition explorer, is it possible.

I own a 2000 explorer with many issues but the engine only
has 218,000 miles on it. I've had a 5.0 l mountaineer with
over 300,000 miles so I know the engine has life left. Have
been offered a 2004 explorer with a blown motor wondering
if mine will fit...

It will be more work than what it would be worth to get it to work correctly.
in other words. you can make anything work. just depends on how much money and time you have, the 5.0 will not drop right in and work.
Well I have a question I have a 2000 Explorer Sport 2 door 2 wheel drive the 4.0 sohc motor is trash wondering if you could put a 5.0 and made it up to an aod without a whole lot of trouble the body is good four brand new off-road tires on it what do you think
I have a 2003 Ford Explore with a 4.6 in it but I want to put a 19905.0 go in it will it fit and will it Bolt up to the transmission
