03 astro partial dash lights out and hard to move when starting in drive

Asked by GuruT98SD Jun 09, 2018 at 11:17 AM about the 2003 Chevrolet Astro LT Extended AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The dashboard lights are partially out including the drive selector.  When I
start out in drive, it takes a lot of gas to move it.  Works fine when starting in
1st or 2nd and reverse.  This happened all at once.

Just experienced a tail light issue. Fuse was blowing intermittently. Could not find problem anywhere front to back and wire harness . Maybe got a little bit lucky when rolling up drivers side window the fuse snapped. Removed door panel and found park Lamp brown wire which illuminates power window switch is arcing out intermittently on window regulator Sometimes better to be lucky than good

This problem has been going on for three years. GM dealership could not repair nor could do three other service centres
