Car won't start nor can I put it in neutral

Haven't started the car in two days now no
signs of battery life and the car will not start
nor can I put it in neutral

It will not start or come out of park if the battery is dead

The problem I found is on the steering column ,take off under dash plastic and there is a small pin that should go up when you step on the brake. follow it make sure everything is allinged and grease the alumium part that the shifter works on ,that everything seems tight.Just move around till you see anything binding. remember to step on the brake.
