2005 neon sxt overheats

Asked by Maximusclouse Sep 15, 2017 at 11:18 PM about the 2005 Dodge Neon SXT Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My wife's 2005 neon sxt overheats, never while idling, that I
know of, but while she's out driving. Pressure test was good,
so I replaced the water pump, the thermostat, the cap, the
electronic tempature control switch, the timing, the idler
pulley, the radiator, the fan relays, the fans both work as they
should, back flushed the system, burped the system, I've
literally tried everything. But yet, after she drives it a while, it
starts to overheat. I do not want to buy this woman a new car,
lol, please guys, I need your help.

the only thing left is exhaust entering the cooling system and restricting flow such as a head warp from a overheat or gasket fail. when first started squeeze rad hose to check for fast pump up of gases forcing the system to hold back flow, look for bubbles in rad water when cap is removed before its too hot to handle,
