Service 4WD light on after recall

Asked by Angel Mar 22, 2019 at 11:13 AM about the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 2012 for
recall and after the recall Service 4WD light
became on. I took it to the mechanic and tried to
find out what’s the problem but he couldn’t get
anything by using the scanner. Does anyone know
what’s the problem or how we can fix it? Thanks

He obviously didn't use the scanner. That code is saved and is retrievable even if the light turns off. It could be a simple wire connection that was knocked loose, or it needs a software upgrade. Google the issue for that year. It seems to me they fucked up something if it truly turned on right after being serviced.
