Higher octane

My 2012 Nissan Sentra has difficulty starting in winter. It is not the battery, but
I was told there could be water in my fuel line. Should I use a higher octane
from time to time? Will this help?

If there is water in the fuel, you can add some HEET to the tank. Top off the fuel tank with 87 Octane from a name brand station. Don't let it get under a quarter tank, especially in the winter.
