Engine oil works really good in engines. Try 5w-30. It usually tells you on the dipstick what it wants but not always.

It's in the manual. If you don't have one you can get one at www.helminc.com Always use what the owner's manual recommends. Sometimes the weight of the required oil is on the oil filler cap located on the cam cover. I would run synthetic Mobil1 oil with the manufacturer's suggested weight for 7,500 miles or 1 year which ever comes first. If you do lots of city driving chang it at 5,000 miles.

First of all, I own a 2016 Nissan Sentra and have the manual AND I downloaded the manual too. It does NOT tell you what weight or type of oil to use or even how much it holds. It rambles on about what climate you're in and use an SAE grade and API grade. There's nothing on the dipstick or engine compartment either.

@Inkbuddy...Chapter 9 page 2 lists the oil change capacity with and without filter. In the narrative it lists 0w20 oil as recommended with 5w30 as an option. Chapter 9 page 6 shows 0w20 in the symbol at the upper right part of the page. Better get those glasses checked.

Try about 4.5 quarts in your 2007. Also next time start a new thread.

Bob I hope you aren’t someone’s doctor for your day job. I would hate to think when I show up at my doctors office with questions about my health he just hands me a manual and say “look it up”. You obviously knew how to find the answer easily and have the knowledge to decipher a thechnical manual because you posted it. Try doin that first the next time. Or don’t bother responding at all.

Eric -!Im not a doctor, but I DO RECOMMEND looking up your symptoms before seeing a doctor. I had one five years ago try to install a pacemaker only to find out by “looking it up” that it was the Zoloft they prescribed that caused my heart to stop while I was asleep. Poor example to use.

120,000 miles, on a 2012 sentra do i youse high miles engine oil

@Eric, an owner's manual is NOT a technical manual. Also this issue has nothing to do with the medical profession. If you have nothing useful to contribute, why do so? It took less than 5 minutes to "google" up a manual and find the information.

Looking for a simple answer and I happen upon a urinating contest. Why are men so full of urine, women so full of vanity (me too, ladies) and politicians so full of feces? Well, after reading through the gobblygoop, I did get my answer. I will use synthetic oil in my 2017 Sentra.
