Nissan Versa left turn signal light blinks fast sometimes

Asked by Chaos Oct 18, 2014 at 07:26 PM about the 2012 Nissan Versa 1.6 SL

Question type: General

The left turn signal light blinks fast sometimes. It would back to normal after a few seconds automatically most of the time but not always. Have the light bulbs checked and found no problems with the light bulbs. Got the light bulbs replaced anyway but the problem still there. By the way, when the left turn signal light blinks fast on the dashboard, the rear left light bulb itself is out. As soon as the left turn signal light blinks normally on the dashboard, the rear left light bulb lights up and flashes normally.

Sound,s like there is a short in one of the left blinker light socket,s,may be burnt out,not the bulb but where it plug,s into it.

Check for the "Flasher", sometimes under the dash, could be dusty or a short.

I have the whole light replaced 3 times. Still wasn’t working. They cleaned the connector and now its working. Hopefully forever.

My Versa had the problem with the left turn signal not working and clicking rapidly but the bulb turned out not to be the problem. The main electrical connection(not the light socket) seemed to be loose so I used electrical tape to secure that after I connected it and also used an electrical connection cleaner spray on all the different connections including the light sockets. After that I haven't had the problem.

Seems that the connection becomes loose with time due to vibration and movement etc. My car is a 2016 versa sedan.
