2012 Nissan versa- Noise when gone through puddle

Asked by Rose423 Feb 04, 2016 at 03:44 PM about the 2012 Nissan Versa 1.6 S

Question type: General

I have a 2012 nissan versa.  On a day when you go through a deep puddle or
alot of rain, it makes a clunk noise going over speed bumps and other
springing sounds.  Last time 2 days after it rained the sound went away.
Does this happen with other nissan versas, where does this come from,
because of the rain and water underneath, Thanks for your info

Sounds like some suspension parts are worn, should take it and have it looked at.

In December i went through a puddle of water and it did the same thing, later that day i took it to a mechanic and they looked at it and said nothing was wrong. 2 days after it rained the sound went away. It seems to only arrive after i go through a deep puddle of water

No then the suspension parts should be ok. Try bouncing the front and the rear of the car to see if you can hear it, pin point it. Going over speed bumps aggravates it to make noise.
