PCM

Asked by Cecillia Sep 22, 2014 at 10:46 PM about the 2005 Dodge Stratus SXT Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've taken my car in for testing because the
transmission is slipping. No check engine
light on. I was informed that it is my PCM.
Now they wanted to charge me $900 for a
part i can open my hood and see and to top
it off they claim to be saving me hundreds
by getting a refurbished part. So i guess my
question would be how do i change it
exactly? And then what would my next
steps be.

Thank you to anyone who can help or point
Me in the right direction

You should be able to get one for less than$200.00 at the bone yard. Changing the part out is easy. Go to YouTube and watch a video on how to do it.
