How long can I drive with misfiring cylinders

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got an engine light on for few days now. A shop diagnosed it as "multiple
cylinders misfire..". It can be coils, plugs or a fuel filter... I added a fuel filter
chemical cleaner  in the gas tank yesterday. Shaking seems to be better, but
the engines seems to be little bit louder when working. The light is still on. Can
I ignore it for a week or two? Is it safe to drive?

but...it would be nice to pull some spark plugs and check them. and replace the fuel filter cant hurt and not expensive....report back in a few days..what fuel treatment did you out into the gas?

If the check engine light is flashing I would not drive it. Doing so can melt the catalytic converter(s) and cause other damage.
