Cold Start Stall

Asked by GuruL969M Mar 20, 2019 at 12:41 PM about the 2012 Dodge Avenger SXT Plus FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Here's a situation that has happened 100% of the time on my 2012 Avenger
(3.6L):
1) The vehicle will start when using the cold start option.
2) After inserting and rotating the key, the vehicle immediately shuts off. (All
MIL are on at this point.)
3) After turning the key back to OFF position and forward, the vehicle starts
with no issues. (No MIL shown)
This has gone from annoying to alarming now that the vehicle has stalled
while driving within the last few days. The dealer is clueless, even after
looking at the eng codes.

Any recommendations?
