Question type: Shopping & Pricing

hi, i am currently looking to buy a 65 or 66 stang, probably a coupe due to price but easily swayed to the convertables. i am 20years old and about to embark on a round the country road trip with two of my friends, for obvious reasons such as the aesthetic attraction to the car and also a never ending will to learn more about mechanics and the great 1st generation stangs i would really love to get one to do the roadtrip with, though i fear i might be putting myself in a little over my head with gas prices the way they are. so my question is simply,

what is the gas mileage like on the stangs?

any response appreciated, thankyou.

oh and i am looking at getting a 4bbl V8.

thanks again

A couple of things first. Don't go and buy a Mustang that old unless it's been restored before or get a replica. Never take an unrestored antique car on a road trip. It ruins the show value and the resale price. Second: www.google.com

Do your self a favour and buy a Chrysler, Dodge or Plymouth. Preferably a 69 Dodge Charger 440-6 or a hemi 'Cuda. Mustangs are for no-imagination wankers.
