I have a 2004 Dodge Durango. While driving, I lost all power to the wheels, yet all electrical and engine seemed to be operating. Pulled over, and it would not move , regardless of what gear I put it in ( N, R, D, 1, 2 ) My first guess is the transmission went out, but could there be a sensor or other cause for this. When I accelerate, I hear the engine, but still have no movement in any gear.

Just wondering what the outcome was with what needed to be done to your Durango as we have an '04 with a Hemi engine that just did the same thing to us yesterday!! Thanks!!!

Is it 4 wheel drive ? If so could it be that your T-case is in neutral ? If not it looks like you have a broken tranny.

I have an 04 with hemi that the rpms will drop out and then completely loses power with no control, VERY dangerous and nobody seems to know why these engines do that. I will NEVER buy dodge again because of this!

This appears to be a common problem I believe that it could be a tcm issue also the valve bodys have a tendency to not ingadge correctly I actually need a rebuild but I think it's a tcm issue at least with mine also 3-4 actuator spring can break and couse th iui s aswell iv been checking though mine and can nerve it down to a rebuild(myfualt) and tcm
