should a 2004 Dodge Durango (purchased new July 04) instrument panel need to be replaced at $750 plus labor

Not exactly sure what the Dodge offers for a warranty. Usually the base warranty is 3 years 36,000 miles, which ever one comes first, but they could have offered a better one than that. Find out what the original warranty was on the car. If it is legitimately expired then get start to make some phone calls and find the lowest price. I would also be raising hell at the dealer because a car you bought from them 3 years ago needs an entire instrument panel replacement. Shouldn't need that.
