coolant problem in a 2004 dodge durango

i have a minor leak in my radiator, but i also have a problem with built up
pressure in my coolant system. the temperature gage will show overheat than
go down to normal and fluctuate

I would do a full cooling system maintenance. Flush, hoses, thermostat etc. You should also change the radiator.
