Engine swap

Asked by Dustin Jan 27, 2017 at 01:32 PM about the 2004 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Dodge Durango that has a 5.7 Hemi.
The engine is great but there is extensive body
damage. My question is what year models of
Durangos or Rams will this motor fit in with little
trouble? Thanks for any advice or guidance!

The easiest swap wlil be to the same year car that had a hemi as well. Anything else and you will run into all kinds of issues especially with engine management.
