How much is a 2012 Ram 1500, Big Horn, Crew Cab, with a new engine worth

Asked by GuruDBVPGF Nov 21, 2024 at 02:54 PM about the 2012 RAM 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

Im looking into selling my 2012 Ram 1500, Big Horn, 4WD Crew Cab truck. I
put in a new 5.1 Hemi engine in late last year and currently have 6000Km on
the new motor. How much can I sell it for?
The body is in excellent condition and no known issues. The truck is located
on the west coast on Vancouver island so not a lot of winter conditions you
find in the rest of Canada.

This is just an estimate, low is 3500 USD high is 18500 USD. But a word of caution, Ram isn't doing so good right now, in my area no one is buying them or much of anything right now, Dealers lots are jamb pack with new and used rigs, nothing is selling, and some banks and other lenders just are not financing Chrysler products. I wish you luck on finding a buyer.

Probably not much more than without the new engine. It's definitely a plus but the rest of the vehicle is not newer. The rest of the powertrain, body, accessories, etc. are, I'm assuming, still original to the vehicle and are almost thirteen years old. In my opinion, if you can pull the money out of it that you spent on the engine replacement you've done well. Jim
