The thermostat doesn't have a lite and is most likely to be the culprit, you checked the coolant level right?

well then the overheat is not severe ,maybe its the warmer air temps lately, or low on coolant , if so where did the coolant go? thermostats can get sluggish to open sometime, some fans have 2 stages of speed for extra cooling needed when running air condition ,air condition works up a heat load on the system

Checked the coolant and the guy who sold me the car added water . The a.c. needs to be charged or refilled so I don't touch it .

If someone added water, you need to have the coolant adjusted to a 50/50 mix, regular water has a lower boiling point than a coolant mix

How do you know it is over heating? The radiator fan coming on is NOT an indication of over heating.

@F_O_R the temperature gauge works and it went all the way up .. I stopped any movement on the vehicle as soon as it did that
