Help a single mom out!! 04 dodge stratus... Need a miracle worker!!

Asked by Sara00 Sep 21, 2017 at 08:20 PM about the 2004 Dodge Stratus SXT Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No crank, no start. So changed fuses (in both fuse
boxes), replaced Starter, and ignition. Now the
ignition won't even go right. It fits, but does nothing
when you turn it. Doesn't even feel like you're
turning a car over.. And to top it off, the dash lights
are now staying on all the time. Like odometer, oil
light.. With No key in ignition. So now i have to
keep the battery off... I'm a single mom. Help me
out!! Please

ignition is wrong. wrong part or wired wrong. who did the work? a respectable mechanic would fix his/her mistake.

if you mean you cant turn the key in the ignition, jiggle the steering wheel as you try to turn the key. let me know what happens.

Not stuck. It fits perfectly... But there's a spring or something missing. It doesn't feel right when you turn. Too easy. No clicking..

thanks for the input... Anyone else have an idea of how to fix it? Troubleshoot what exactly it is? Any kind of useful help is welcome!!

That's what i thought... The new one is doing this.. Never buy a stratus. It's always something small, but hard to find.. Been workin on this for a week now
