Transmission Slip

Question type: General

Started losing power to transmission last night.  Initially, almost an unnoticeable miss, then after further driving, would stay in first for 10 - 15 seconds before moving to second.  I Also noticed that the instrument pane displays the transmission state: 1, then 2 instead of "D".  Is this a computer problem?

Any warning lights on or flashing?

Pull the tranny dip stick and note the color...the smell. Does the fluid smell burnt?

Indeed I agree with Karmon....some parts stores will Scan your computers for FREE. Get back with results. We will need the Code ID and it's associated numbers.
