Ringing in front of car to the left wheel

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a ringing noise when I am driving. No mechanic can hear it when they ride with me so they don't know where to check for it. Can you tell me what it is? It sounds like it's coming from the left tire area/hood. It just started after getting new tires and rotors put on. I have a 2012 toyota camery.

Does the ringing noise get louder or go away when you apply the brakes?
Goes away when I apply the breaks.
Do you think it's the brakes or the rotors or neither?

I would take it back to where you had the brake work done and ask them to recheck the front brakes to just to make you feel better or just to satisfy the customer. If they give you a hassle I would take it somewhere else and have them take a look because something is not right. Tell them what my wife tells me you drive this vehicle all the time and you may not work on it but you know when something is not right with it.

Nobody knows that vehicle like you so if you think something is wrong with it most likely is. If the noise goes away when brakes are applied it has something to do with the brakes.
Taking it to the car dealership. I am hoping the car will ring for them. fingers crossed.
Thanks for your help. I went to the dealership. They took off every wheel and cleaned it. No more noise and it didn't cost me one red cent.

That's great it was something more then just cleaning but of course that is what they are going to say that to cover themselves but I am glad your problem is taken care of.
So 4 years later, the ringing has started up again.
