No, you must use premium in the G37X , some say you can, but why take the chance !

Alas, many drivers DO use 87 in their 35s and 37s, with no detriments. It's just not a fussy engine. I've owned both '09 and '13 years, and sometimes just toggled between 87 and 93 if the latter was cheap, with no noticeable effects: no knocking, reduced acceleration nor lower fuel eco. I'd be MUCH more careful with modern turbos, of course. The nicest thing you can do to your '12 G37 is to replace the rear anti-swaybar to Nissan's own fatter G37 coupe one for better turn-in and neutral handling, as well get rid of the crappy 17" wheels and go with 225/50R18's. Been there twice...just do it!
