Bigger tires vs tundra performance

Hey guys, here's my dilemma, I'm about to pull the
trigger on some wheels and tires. I feel like I'm
gonna be stuck with a 275/70r18. I'm driving a 2012
4.7L DC tundra. I'd love to go up to 295/70 but
concerned it would bog down my trucks
performance more than I'm comfortable with. (It's
my DD) also concerned it would wear out my gears
prematurely. Any thoughts/experience?

there both 70s tall right??? if so the final gearing would be the same...

Yeah they're both 70 tall but the 275/70 is listed as 33.1 x 11 and the 295/70 is 34.2 x 11.8.

Tires that are taller in overall size effectively numerically lowers the gear ratio. It might bog it down some.
