How do i determine towing capacity on 2012 Suburban 1500? specs show it could be 5700# or 8100#. I have RPO codes but they don't identify towing capacity.

The towing capacity can be determined via finding out the axle ratio. Any Chevrolet Dealership can find this information for you via the VIN number. Hope this helps. Stephan at Lipscomb Chevrolet Burkburnett Texas.

as shown above, axel ratio is 3.08. however, the info that i have found says that it takes and oil cooler and a transmission cooler. nothing on the RPO codes indicates that these are installed. do you know what i would look for?
