I have a 2008 Mercedes C350 with 3534 miles. I have been unable to reset the Service A or Service B warning indicator. Over the years, I have had my car in the shop and the service Advisors have attempted to reset it with no joy. I suspect there is a bad control module, but which one? I had an independent repair shop try resetting it with their computer, but also no joy. It seems to register the warnings, because it used to show the Service A was past due, then it changed to the Service B was past due and now indicates something like 530 days. As I said, no one has been able to get it to go away permanently until the next service is due. I can get it to go away temporarily by hitting OK, but the next time I start the car, it comes up again. Any idea what has to be done to fix it?
how do I reset my maintenance message after service is completed

GuruX9LZH Where is the answer?? repeating my question helps no one. I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is. It might be the ECU, which was probably bad since the day I bought the car 10 years ago. I also found out that the trip indicator is broken, which probably occurred when they removed the dash in a prior recall. Its just that I never drove it much, especially in the past 3 years, until Mercedes finally replaced the air bags. And I thank Mercedes for NOT providing any help in rectifying this problem when I asked them about it years ago. Not much documentation though, because they'd just have the service advisor go out and try to reset, and it wouldn't. It wasn't much of an irritation then because I wasn't driving, and I could just hit reset to get it to go away. Now I want to drive the car, and the reminder would be very helpful. Their answer? Bring it in and we'll check it (at how much of a cost now since the warrantee has expired). All they want is to suck more money out of me. I am extremely frustrated with Mercedes, and would think very hard before I would acquire another one.
