You raised the hood and verified the engine is running? Sounds like your vehicle stalled out causing it to loose momentum, with engine off you loose power steering, making it hard to turn and causing you indicator lights to come on. Did you try to restart the vehicle and what happened when you did?

this morning I tried to start it, it tried to start but it would not turn over, it sounded like the old days when you had to pump the gas pedal to start the car.

Did you ever get an answer to this? This just happened to us yesterday in our 2007 Honda Pilot. Driving 60 mph and it stopped accelerating.

It's your transmission your clutch just went out it cost me $4626.00 yes that's dollars at amco but I got a warrenty and it's cheaper than buying another mid size SUV I was in denial that it could possibly be the transmission and did a whole overhaul tune up in hopes it's just a sensor nope still the transmission now runs like a champ especially ]l I pk two new catylac converter's bank one and bank two now it peels out but apparently the transmissions need to be fixed some where around 160,000 miles then it's good for the life of your engine
