The 2007 Honda Pilot (and Ridgeline) have a timing belt. It is also an interference engine meaning that a failed (broken) belt will allow the valves to be damaged but the pistons, ruining the engine. I believe the replacement interval is about 100,000 miles, or at least have it inspected for wear. Replacement costs run $600 to $1500, mostly labor. Try to find an independent shop to do it for less.

One thousand one hundred and seventeen "views" and only one person found my information helpful. Wow. I think I need a new hobby. Back to driving truck for me.

Well, I viewed it but I was searching for an answer on a 2005, not 2007!

Mine just went at 95,000 files (on the interstate, in the left lane, in construction, with no shoulder on either side, during the holidays. Car wouldn't move. Traffic backed up for miles. Cost me $390 just to get it towed home). I'm hearing from friends that it's not just about miles, it's about age. Don't see that here or in anything else I've been told over the years. And for that ignorance on my part, I now will likely have to pay for a rebuilt engine.
