2012 Honda Odyssey key fob/door key window control stopped working
Asked by socalray Apr 24, 2016 at 07:01 PM about the 2012 Honda Odyssey EX-L FWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
'12 Honda Odyssey. Recently replaced the battery.
Ever since then both the "holding down unlock after
second press" feature and the "turn the key in the
door lock" to roll down/up feature have ceased to
work. That means I cannot control the windows
with either the key fob nor the key in the door. The
key fob still auto-opens all doors and rear hatch,
and obviously the key still starts the car, but the
auto window features are gone.
I checked EVERY FUSE. Literally pulled every fuse
from every slot in every box and ALL OF THEM are
good. Not one blown fuse.
No clue where to go from here.

Do this basic reset drill. 1.Turn the ignition switch off, then back ON (II). 2. Move the driver’s window all the way down by using the driver’s switch; when the window reaches the bottom, hold the driver’s window switch in the DOWN position for 2 seconds 3. Move the driver’s window all the way up without stopping by using the driver’s switch; when the window reaches the top, hold the driver’s window switch in the UP position for 2 seconds. Regards
Did the key and the window reset. Still no dice.

Key fobs not communicating with the master switch. Do this drill to program the key fob:Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), push the transmitter's lock or unlock button within 4 seconds and turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), turn it back to ON (II) within 4 seconds and back to LOCK (0). Repeat this 2 more times and the locks should cycle when the transmitter button is pushed. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and remove the key. Wait 10 seconds and verify that all remotes function properly. To disarm the security system in the meantime you will need to lock all doors from the inside and then close all doors. Once all doors are locked and closed unlock the outside door lock using the key and this should disarm the security system.
Did this. Already. The keys unlock/lock the doors, open the 2 sliders and the rear hatch. Just no window feature and no window movement when ising the key in the driver door lock. Still no dice.
I believe I may actually stump the masses with this issue. Just hoping its an easy fix and doesn't cost me an arm and a leg.

My 2012 Honda Oddessey’s tailgate want open from the key or the inside button unless I start my van. If it runs for a while and I turn it off it will work for a bit but it stop working after a while?
Did you ever figure out a solution to your key fob not rolling down your windows? I’m having he same issue on my 2011.
