Car alarm won't STOP and don't have the Key Fobs......HELP!!!

Asked by Nicole Apr 28, 2017 at 09:59 PM about the 2003 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So if any one could help that would be great!  We are newly married and
have a VERY small budget....still trying to figure out what it is!  My husband
came into our marriage with a 2003 Dodge Stratus Coupe RT and no key
fobs but the alarm is now going off.  We would like to avoid bringing it to a
dealership if possible...can't really afford that!  The oddest thing is that it
still runs with the alarm sounding, we are not car gurus by far but we are
also not afraid to get dirty and try to fix  things ourselves.  WE are willing to
take ANY suggestions and any questions you might have about this for
clarification.  We are a bit nervous about fuse removal at this point because
we do not have the map that comes with the car itself and there were many
different versions made of that car.  PLEASE HELP!  THANK YOU!

I'm confused ,, U have a key to run the car but no remote and the horn is sounding while you drive the car .... how do you park it with the horn blaring? I'm surprised the cops didn't get you ,,,/ Are you sure your horn isn't stuck or are you getting the beep- beep? If you can reach the horn with a baseball bat .. hit it ,, if not then cut the wire ,,, if all fails then disconnect the battery ///Actually the first thing you should do is disconnect the battery ,, then when you reconnect it the alarm should be cleared If you go outside and the horn's not blaring look for a small hole in the fender ,,, because if I were your neighbor I would have shot the damn thing

I know this is months too late but if it happens again just insert the key into the driver's door and twist it twice counter clockwise. I had a similar situation a while back.

What if the headlights flash, you don't have a fob nor the original key? My headlight keep flashing while driving.

I'm having the same exact problem going on right now!! I pulled the fuse and 2 horn relays from under the hood to stop the horn!! ( I do have the car manual and it is actually, a manual transmission) Its been 5 days now and I have the battery disconnected too!!! The lights stop going off after 3 minutes and is drivable. However, cannot be good for it!! When my alarm went off before, I simply put the key in the door and turned it counterclockwise and it quit! Not this time!! IT WONT STOP!!! If you have any ideas, could u please let me know...
