Tom your directions are completely wrong. I watched a YouTube video and got proper instructions it's a three-step process. Just Google the make and model of your car and inquire about home link.

I just purchased a Kia Rio and I lost my remote to my garage door opener. Because I bought this car used, I do not have a manuel. Can I connect the Homelink directly to the garage door unit without the remote???
