Poor Fuel Mileage and running rough

I have a 2012 Kia Rio that gets really poor gas mileage,runs rough when idling, and engine pings and rattles, any ideas as to what it may be?

have you recently had a tune up? make sure all coils or spark plug cables are properly connected.
