It depends on your city and if it is a legit shop. Expect $65/hr to be a base rate nationwide. when engaging a shop, ask their hourly rate and ask what the book says for the number of hours. They use a book that standardizes each repair in regards to man hours. An honest shop might offer you an honest accounting of total hours worked but usually they go by the book because that will limit your risk on amount paid but does nothing for their actual time spent. Meaning, they win some and lose some so by the book keeps them in business.

$65 per hour is pretty cheap. I would think $90 per hour is a good bet.
