I have a 19876 Buick Regal Limited 3.8 engine. I have lost reverse could it just the linkage or could it something major. I have to move the shifter a little to get the reverse to work in the past.

Ready to drive to work just like always. 2012 Buick Regal automatic. Just got it. With foot on brake, I push button to start, engine starts. Keeping foot on brake, I try to shift from Park to Reverse. Not happening! There's no doubt, the shifter is not moving to Reverse! WHY? Is there something I can do or try real quick?
