Based on all of the info, you provided (assuming the replacement/rebuilt engine is in condition and runs)...(I wouldn't consider buying it personally) BUT if I were, I definitely would NOT pay more than $1,000-$1,200 for it. You got to replace ALL 4 tires at approx. $100-$150 or more each for GOOD tires + deal with the paint/rust damage. Seller's price is ridiculous IMO...I'd keep shopping around, if I were you!
opps..meant to say if engine is in GOOD condition and runs! Plus the color is a blah brown too!
Man, I don't get Wranglers at all- OK- I get that they are cool and historic, and fun to drive- but they are all way overpriced, as transportation- I guess this makes them toys for people with too much money- too bad, I'd like to have one, but all the posers have driven the prices up on all of them even the worst ones- like this one- that's about as cheap as you'll find one unless it is a smoldering wreck
The only thing I TRULY get is the Jeep's WWII history...it served our soldiers well...Also, it's a great off-road vehicle. I'd been a passenger in one and it was the most choppy and uncomfortable experience that I can recall. IMO, not suitable as a daily driver (unless you live in a mountainous area or the desert). Guessing that it's a hit with the surfer boys too...LOL!
