diesel or gas?

Asked by redneck6969 Oct 06, 2013 at 04:43 PM about the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT Crew Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

i'm looking in buying a 2500HD Silverado, I just don't know which one to buy< the 6.0 gas or the 6.6 diesel. im just wanting to rip down back roads tailgating drinking beer, go mud bogging, haul my 250 ktm. any thoughts? oh also, I would be towing a 5-th wheel trailer. which is better to put a lift kit in and better mpg with the best power.

With a diesel truck you are more likely to get stuck because of the extra added weight. I'd say go with the gas truck if you are also going to be offroading in the truck. The 6.0 is a powerful enough motor to haul a ktm 250.
