Is there a screen that is supposed to cover the gap in the front bumper to protect the radiator?

Asked by rjfawcett Mar 20, 2014 at 09:35 PM about the 2012 Ford F-150 FX4 SuperCab 4WD

Question type: General

I just noticed the 18' x 5" open space in the center of the front bumper.  Is there supposed to be some sort of plate or screen to cover this space, since the front of the radiator is exposed right behind the opening?  Seems like it would be very easy for a rock to fly into that gap and damage the radiator.

that is how Ford designed it, and you are right to be worried about that- give your local dealership a call to see if they have a part available for that.
