Get a good reputable mechanic that you trust to check this,if it is main knock, this can be repaired now before it get,s worse, without having to buy a new engine,if it is a fly wheel, again this can be repaired all so.Find a good mechanic that dose, not guess a what is wrong, but can tell you that is your problem. Good luck with it.
Thank you T_S_T for your response to my question.....I took the truck to a local dodge dealer and all they had to do was hear the "noise" when I started it up in Park and said..."sounds like the Flywheel"...Job getting done as I am responding back to you....Don't like the $$$ it will cost me..but I love the Power and response with this engine and gear(3.91) posi....Jerry
T_S_T.....After the Inspection Plate was removed the mechanic found the Flywheel bolts were LOOSE...Mechanic took them out...put Lock-Tite on them...Tightened them. ...Job DONE...The best part is it was just under $200..........:)!!!!!! Thank God for this what is called FAVOR...not LUCK!!!
