Radio and CD player not working on 2012 legacy

Hello, My 2012 legacy is having radio and CD player
issues. The display works but there is no sound. Satellite
and Bluetooth work just fine. Have disconnected the
battery and that did nothing. It didn’t even reset the
presets. The USB port that allows you to connect phone
directly does not work, and also the steering wheel
volume button sometimes works opposite. Meaning if you
try to turn the sound up it turns it down. Any help is
greatly appreciated.

Hmmm...maybe a bad head unit (blown amp or preamp)? If you're near Boston I have a used one you can swap in to test...or ship if you're sure you need one. I've yet to have to replace a 2010-2014 Leg/OB head unit...but there's always a first. Lemme know. Ern 781 483-3922

I have a auburn legacy love the car but the cd that takes up to 6 cd is not discharging The cd and come up with error code 999 Can anyone help please
