Where’s the spin on filter go for tranmision 2002 dodge dakota

Got new transmission filter at part store came with spin on filter where it at
cant find it. 2002 dodge Dakota 4.7 four wheel drive

It is inside the transmission oil pan. And make sure you fill up the new spin on filter with tranny fluid before you install it, or the transmission will never draw fluid into the pump to pressurize the system.
