I find it odd that so many people are having this problem lately... Just happened to me today.. Taking it to AutoZone after work.. I'll update with what they say.

Any update on this Issue? Same thing happened to my Corolla 2014 S. Took it to AutoZone told me it was spark plugs, misfire on 2 and 4, replace this and that... so just replaced spark plugs for now and still same error. Going to take it to autozone to see qhat codes pop up "GuruBKB71 3 months ago Why my check engine and trac off light came one and the motor is vibriating"

I had the same issue about a year ago. Took it to the dealership and cylinder 4 had a misfire. They swapped coils and injectors around to test it (diagnostic cost me a hefty $180) They determined it was a bad fuel injector. Had my mechanic swap it out but today about a year later the problem has resurfaced.

Go to auto zone. Let them run your car through the computer. This happened to us with our 2014 Toyota Corolla Sport and we had a rear brake light out but after we fixed it the light it came back on. It turns out the mass air flow sensor was not working. Cost about $120 and was a easy fix my husband did it in about 10 minutes.

My car started doing this issue today. I had put gas 2 days ago, started to notice a small rumble when in idle, then turned the car on this morning and check engine came on- next the trac off keeps turning on and off, I notice it turns off when I break. Plugged in my car had code P0441 evaporative emission system incorrect purge flow, tried code reset and taking the gas cap off leave off for 20 seconds and then replaced, codes didnt turn back on until another few hours. Going to try replacing gas cap, will update when I hopefully get a resolve.

My car corolla S 2010 did that too. I opened my hood and checked my oil by looking on the dip stick and my oil is still clean. I put back the dip stick tightly, tried to start my car and the engine light and VSC lights are gone. So I didn't clean my MAS anymore since that was my plan in the first place. So I dont know what happen, that was all I did and it solved my problem.

Mine does it every so often, usually after I've made a sudden turn. It goes off after a day or two, usually after I've made a fast stop, but just making a quick stop on purpose doesn't automatically fix it. It's been doing it since I bought it new in 2012, and it's got 240,000 miles on it so far, and it still runs fine, so I'm not that worried about it. My airbag light sometimes stays on too after I start it, but if I turn the car off and take the key back out, it goes off. Sometimes I need to turn it off and restart it twice. Just harmless little idiosyncrasies it has I guess
