Why does 13 radio fuse keep blowing?

Question type: General
Bought a new aftermarket stereo system for the car. attempted to install it but forgot to
unplug negative cord to batttery and saw a spark. i thought it may have blown a fuse so i
changed the 1,2, and 13 fuse because they related to the radio. now the 13 fuse keeps
blowing. what am i doing wrong why is the stereo still not working? if its the fuse how do i
prevent it from blowing if i change it again?

Check your wiring, you must have something hooked up wrong.
Yellow is memory must be hot always, red igintion hot when key is on,and black your ground, the rest are speaker wires, check res and yellow and black.

the only one i wasnt sure about when i hooked them up was the orange wire from the wiring harness was to illuminate the stereo but the only wire i didnt use from the stereo wires was a blue one (i thought it was for the remote that comes with the stereo??) . i connected those two.. could that be the problem?
Yes blue doe,s not hook up.it is remote,is there a red wire?

yeah but its connected to another red wire. everything matches up except that orange one and the blue one.
do you have orange a blue hooked toghter>?
yes do not hook them up at all ,tape them off
The orange is for your factrory light in radio, your after market radio runs threw the red

and if i do that, and change the fuse again do you think it should be okay??
Should be, if you havent hurt the radio by hooking orange to it

actually my bf said he unhooked them before the fuse kept blowing. we dont have the extra wires taped off. could that cause it?

so electrical tape all the unused wires. can the wires that are connected to eachother touch other coupled wires or do they need to be taped as well? if so, as a group or individually?
Yes tape all exposed wire,s
I have a 1995 crown Victoria I bought a new radio hook all the wires up colors match but the radio fuse keep blowing
