IF you were to get a buyer at any price, you MUST pay off the lien for the buyer to get a clear title. If it doesn't sell for enough to pay it off, you will have to come up with the difference. If you try to sell it without paying it off, you could be charged with fraud and that will get very expensive and could include jail time.
