Car will not start

I have a 2013 Ford Fusion. Key broke away from
key fob, blade in one hand key fob in another. Blade
is not broken, keyfob works. Couldn't drive car had
it towed home. Bought blank key and had lock
Smith referred by dealer to come to my home and
cut and program new key. Car will not start. Lights,
radio, air, all work fine. Tried jumping did not work.
Anti theft system does not appear to be enabled as
there are no flashing lights and no car with lock on
dash. Disconnected battery for 24 hrs in hopes
something would reset and nothing. Still will start.
What else can I check or do before I tow it to the
dealer?

Try locking then unlocking the drivers door using the KEY not the fob and see if it will start.
