My 2013 Ford Fusion (suddenly) won't recognized the fob to unlock doors

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 2013 Ford Fusion (suddenly) won't recognized the RF signal from either of my fobs and won't unlock the doors. Fobs do work; I checked that they are sending a RF signal. I can use the key pad on the driver's door to open the car. The metal key does start the car. Will this clear if I disconnect the battery and attempted to reset the computer or is there a bad receiving module that needs replaced?

Replace the battery, it will reset your transponder.
Do you mean the 12-volt car battery? It is only 25 months old. The batteries in the fobs are fine.
Last night I disconnected the lead from the (car) battery for ~ 1 minute before reconnecting. Afterwards, the fobs were able to unlock the car doors. Hence, no battery replacement. Also, the tire pressure indicator (finally) reset as well. All tires had been at normal recommended pressure, but the tire pressure indicator system would never reset as it has done in the past. By the way, some auto parts stores like Auto Zone have fob testers at their counters. Just turn the tester on. Point your fob at the tester receiver. Press a button on the fob and the tester will indicate if it has received a signal from the fob. Nice to know before going to the trouble of "trying" to open the fob to replace a battery.
So, I have the same problem, do you resolve it?
2013 Ford Fusion, key fob not found just started. The car battery needed to be replaced, original battery. Battery voltage was right around 12 volts. New batteries measure about 12.6 volts. Original car batteries have a life of about 4 years.
Saved us heartache. We had the tire pressure monitor failure light and then the remotes wouldn't work. Changed the remote batteries to no avail. Were intending to take it to a shop. An 8mm wrench did the trick. Thank you!

Redsilo what exactly did you do with the 8mm wrench. My daughters car is doing the exact same thing
The top answer with unhooking battery for a minute AND then rehooking battery worked. 2014 Ford Fusion SE. 90k mikes.
Just an update. Fault code came up that fob battery was low and then both fobs stopped working. Replaced batteries in both fobs (see you tube for battery replacement) then disconnected car battery and re-connected. All is well.
