Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2002 dodge intrepid will start
sometimes an sometimes it won't!
I've already changed the ignition
switch out! Put key in the ignition an
turn it and nothing happens radio
and the air power locks and windows
all work! Before I put the new ignition
switch in some times the air power
windows would not work! Now
everything in the car comes on an
everything on the outside comes on!
But nothing under the hood no
clicking or anything at all almost like
the starter is disconnected from
battery! Any answers will be
appreciated to the fullest cause its
driving me nuts! Last time it would
not start I disconnected the battery
from the jump post for five minutes
hooked it back up and it fired right
up! Went to do the same today and it
did not rectify the problem!!

It could be the neutral safety switch or the shifter if your car is an automatic. Did you try to start it in neutral? My jeep I had to start in neutral sometimes or play with the shifter. The neutral safety switch is on the brake pedal somewhere and the shifter has a switch on it somewhere too. Good luck!

No go I went out this morning an put the key in an it fired right up! It does this every now an then! I did nothing to it for two days an jumped in it this morning an it acts like nothing is wrong an started right up! What would cause it to do this?
