My 2013 Ford Escape SUV computer indicates "oil change required" and oil level is ok. Can I still drive within a two(2)mile radius without damaging the engine?

I am disabled and on a fixed income and will not be able to have the oil change until 05/20. Can I hold off until then without damaging the engine? I do not go far.

Your 2013 Escape is equipped with an oil management system that monitors the oil life based on your driving habits. If the car is used mainly for short drives the oil should be changed more often. This system monitors that. Your car should be safe to drive until you can afford an oil change however the sooner the better. Have the technician reset your oil monitor at the time of the change.
