Can the grade of gas cause my engine light to come on?

Can putting cheap gas into my 2013 Ford
Edge cause the engine light to come on? I
had a similar problem with my old Camry. I’ve
started the car, and let it idle for about 10
minutes. Nothing sounds wrong, but the light
is still on.

Your Edge probably runs on 87 octane. If you got bad gas it could cause the CEL to light up. Scan for codes.
