did we required to change the timing belt after pump change?

Hi After changing the water pump, the mechanic didn't set the timing belt
properly, is it required to change the belt or the whole machine?

It is always a good idea to change the timing belt when changing the water pump on engines that the timing belt runs the water pump. Otherwise u may be back taking everything apart for a belt that you already had off.
