Can you put 88 octane fuel in 2013 Ford Explorer
I was noticing most of the gas stations in my area have an
88 octane fuel. My Explorer is a Flexfuel vehicle (which I
know I can use regular up to premium & E85), but I've been
itching to try the 88 octane recently. Just wanted to make it
won't cause any damage before I do

88 octane will work just fine. E85 is not an octane rating, it means it is 85 percent ethanol and you get poor fuel economy with it. If you have been using E85 and you switch to 88 octane E10 your gas mileage will go up quite a bit.

E85 means 85% octane snd the rest is ethanol.. premium is recommended for any turbocharge cars..
From what I can find 88 octane gas is actually E15 gas which is OK to use in flex fuel cars but not cars that use E10.
